Spins a web … | My Kids

So, my little Owen ( I guess he isn’t little anymore – almost 5 — insert tears here) is suddenly obsessed with Spiderman, the obsession started 3 or so weeks ago. I think it’s innate because I can’t really recall him ever watching or seeing an episode of Spiderman.  I have no clue how he knows who he is. (once the obsession began Daddy had to introduce him to the movie – so know he knows a bit more, but still….)

It was raining today and he found a Spiderman poncho that grandma picked him up last Summer/Fall. He put it on and seemed like he transformed into his new favorite Superhero. <3 that boy, although he does drive me crazy sometimes. He also starts Kindergarden in a couple of weeks. That is sure to be a bittersweet day.:)

Beach Babe | I <3 faces contest entry

I’ve been following  iHEART Faces for awhile but haven’t really taken the time to enter their weekly challenges. Until now. It is a great way to challenge yourself and to shoot for ‘you’.

Week 34 – Beach Fun Photo Challenge

When I actually thought about it, I had a hard time choosing which one to enter, but this one I love – it just shows how much fun she is having dancing and playing in the sand, even despite how chilly it was that day.

Anyone can enter of any ability. It’s lots of fun, and I am going to attempt to enter more frequently. Go to http://www.iheartfaces.com for more information, to see the weekly challenges, and more beach fun.

Until next time,

Kerrie

Fort McMurray Photographer | End of July busy-NESS…

So the end of July was crazy and as such I am eagerly working through some AWESOME family, couple, toddler, and wedding sessions.

I am not normally one to combine peoples sessions into one blog post, however – I want to get these sneak peaks up for everyone. So bear with me this is going to be a long post with a bunch of awesome pictures!

Let me introduce you to this beautiful little boy! He is such a cutie and I think you’ll agree. Like most boys they don’t sit still for long and he made me work to get some pics of him. But as he got more comfortable with the camera – all was great!  It was incredibly hot for an early morning session as well.

Next, a small but beautiful wedding party. My little guy was on the same hockey team as N & D’s son. So when she asked me to take some wedding formals for her, I jumped at the chance! Such a beautiful couple and family – I think you’ll agree.  Oh and this yard is a hidden gem in Fort McMurray. I didn’t even know it existed. BEAUTIFUL!

Wow! Such a beautiful family was next on the schedule! These two twins I have photographed before, but some family pictures needed to be done as well.  We had to fight with the weather and had to reschedule our original session. But finally everything aligned and we were able to capture this great family. The older two brothers are such super super helpers and you can tell the twins adore them both!

Finally on the blog and scheduled this weekend is this great family/engagement session.  This family and couple were so much fun! As well as they have picked a pretty awesome date to get married – which happens to be the same date that I got married (almost 6 years ago!). Craziness! And yes, I am shooting it. It’s going to be a great time. Mr. G and Miss. M are awesome in front of the camera, and as well you can tell that G adores MoMo as well! She was such a good help to keep G occupied so we could get some pretty great engagement shots of mom and dad! Wouldn’t you agree?

Okay so that is the end of the sneak peaks for now! I HOPE HOPE HOPE to get your galleries up and live very soon – by the end of the week! So watch your emails for you gallery links and passwords.:)

Until next time.

Cheers,

Kerrie

Oh and this fall I am taking very limited sessions, in fact I only have 1 available weekend date left in September and October I have 4 available weekend session openings. Evenings are a touch easier to schedule around and you can work with some pretty great evening sunlight.  Fall colors will be upon us soon, so act quickly to get your date and to avoid disappointment. I do always make room for newborns as well.  :) and I do have the studio setup as well for those interested in studio sessions.

Stony Plain Photographer | My PODNER is getting married! :)

Eeeeekkkkkk …. My Podner is getting married!

pod {NER} ; a pretty awesome friend, grade 3 teacher, former colleague at Ermineskin Elementary School (which neither of us no longer work for — life has pulled us in opposite but good directions).

She is marrying Dale – isn’t he cute?

Aren’t they cute together? You can totally tell that he is her protector and the love of her life, and her – his. And… they love to fool around – hence the pretty fun pictures I managed to get at the beginning of the session.

We’ve been planning to get their engagement session done for awhile and the previous two times had to be cancelled due to crazy Thunderstorms that would roll in. Safety first!:)We finally met up Sunday and got some pretty awesome images. I feel very blessed to be thought of and asked to capture their very special day, which is coming up pretty quickly.:)

Until next time, which should be soon — playing catch up from a busy end of July weekend.
